To reflect our multi-decade pedigree, we finished each limited edition drum in a lavish red fade that matches our popular 40th Anniversary Congas and Bongos. Then, using a proprietary inlay process, we inscribed each djembe shell with our custom designed 40th Anniversary logo-sealed into the wood and protected for the ages with a rock hard gloss topcoat. Heads are specially selected goatskin in 12 1/2" diameter. Again, each carries the 40th Anniversary logo imprint. The drums are fully tunable via conga-style wrench. "Heart" style side plates are gold plated to match the rims-special Gold Tone Comfort Curve® II models that reduce hand fatigue. Of course, while we set out to create the ultimate in aesthetics, our goal was always superior tone. This time it is beyond reproach! The LP 40th Anniversary Djembe delivers crackling highs, undulating mids, and robust, resonant lows. The drums are light enough to be played standing with strap, or they can be played sitting.
